With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karen Hawkey of Ronceverte, West Virginia, born in Beckley, West Virginia, who passed away on October 25, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Alex James and Margaret Evelyn Childers. She is survived by: her daughter Tia Michelle Daniello (Rob) of Bayville, NJ; her brothers, James W. Childers (Lisa) of Lewisburg and John Childers (Sarah) of Beckley; her grandsons, Alex Robert Daniello and Ryan Daniello; and her siblings' children, Jeni Childers Baker (Steve), Brenley, Lydia Baker of Lewisburg, Jade Childers of Charlotte, James 'J. J.' Childers (Lesley) of Charlotte and Tristan Childers of Beckley, WV..

In lieu of flowers, Tia and family would like donations to be made to Peyton Hospice House, 1265 Maplewood Ave., Lewisburg WV 24901.
