She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Herbert and Lucy Jane Summerfield Burke; her husband Billy Mitchell Simmons; her son Billy "BJ" Mitchell Simmons; and her siblings, Truman Burke, Thomas Burke, Donald Burke, Kathy Burke and Carol Burke.

She is survived by: her daughter Kristina Hartley (Rocky) of Carolina, WV; her granddaughter Kayla Jackson Clarksburg (Sam); her great grandchild Denver Mitchell Jackson; and her siblings, Linda Foster, Rodney Burke (Sherry) and Harvey Burke (Michele). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
