It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Patsy Hovatter of Rowlesburg, West Virginia, who passed away on December 8, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Chalance Harold and Hazel Pauline Nice (Shaffer); her son Mark Hovatter; and her siblings, Harold Michael Nice and Hedy Summerfield.
She is survived by: her children, Micheal Hovatter (Patricia) of Kingwood and Sonya Hovatter of Rowlesburg; her grandchildren, Troy Barrett, Gary Griffith, Nick Griffith and Stephanie Griffith; her great grandchildren, Landon, Ava, Brianna, Bentley and Malachi; her sisters, Jeanie Goff of Rowlesburg and Lynn Likens of Rowlesburg; and her siblings' children, Colleen Sabtino, Kelly Myers, Paulette Nice and Rob Goff.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kingwood Funeral Home (295 S Price St, Kingwood, WV 26537). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
