He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Glenna Ruth Smith, Myrtle Simmons and Julian Simmons; and his aunts, Frances Boyce and Carolyn Neal.
He is survived by: his parents, Gary William Simmons, Sr. of Hines and Glenna Mae Bourgeois Simmons of Rupert; his close friend Anthony Bowden; his children, Aleesia McQuain (Turner) of Morgantown, Ashlynn Simmons of Rupert, Skyelar Estrada (Christopher) of Huntington and Ayden Simmons of Rupert; and his sisters, Madonna Riffle (Aubrey) of Charmco, Rose Coleman (William) of Rupert and Myrtle Darby (Justin) of Hines. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Rainelle Chapel (283 Main St, Rainelle, WV 25962). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
