He was predeceased by : his father Corbett Sayre; his stepfather Gilbert Weaver; his former life partner Jan McComas; and his brothers, Calvin Sayre and Robert Sayre.

He is survived by : his wife JoAnn Sayre; his children, Ramona Nelson (Andy) and Jeff Taylor (Melissa); his grandchildren, Jessica Green (Dallas), Brooke Miller (Steve), Ashley Goodall, Josh Taylor (Danielle), Justin Goodall and Alison Hodge (Matt); and his siblings, Larry Weaver (Sharon), Patty Foutz (Dick) and Jason Weaver (Teresa). He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
