He was predeceased by : his father James Dubiou Desmond Sr.. He is survived by : his mother Nonia Mae Adkins Yancey; and his siblings, James Dubiou Desmond Jr., Charles Edward Desmond, Troy Lee Desmond, Margaret Anne Mullins Desmond and Kathy Mari Hines Desmond. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and host of family and friends.
