He was predeceased by : his father Robert E. Gessner. He is survived by : his mother Elaine Paul Gessner; his stepson Elijah Bennett (Ashley); his stepgrandson Hudson; and his siblings, Karen Parlett (Steven), Aileen Owens, Kathleen Drazba (Charles), David Gessner and Jim Gessner (Sandi). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
