He was predeceased by: his parents, Donlee Weekley and Roy L Winans; his former wife Patricia Bailey; his wife Janice Pettit; and his stepson Kenney Jackson.
He is survived by: his son Dave Winans (Shelly); his stepsons, Bill Jackson (Sandy) of Richmond, VA, Joe Pettit (Karen) and Tracey Pettit of Cameron, WV; his grandchildren, Brittany Payne (Willie) and Kenneth Jackson of Richmond, VA; and his great grandchildren, Wyatt and Carder Payne. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, family has requested donations be made to Country Rhodes Running Camp, c/o Steven Nutter, 2302 Hebron Road, St. Marys, WV 26170.
