She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn A. Burr and Betty Sue Flanigan Burr; her son Jason Alkire; her sister Sheila Kay Kimball; and her brother-in-law Richard Shaffer.
She is survived by: her husband Winston C. "Bud" Alkire; her sons, Cary Alkire (Candace) of Summersville, WV and Carl Alkire (Brandon) of Thelma, KY; her grandchildren, Taylor, Colton, David and Joshua; her great grandchildren, London Avery Harris, Victoria Mae Alkire, Elias Thomas Alkire and Ava Lynn Wiley; her siblings, Judy Shaffer, Ronnie Burr (Kathryn) and Eddie Burr (Donna); her brother-in-law David Kimball; and her pet Bella. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Davis Funeral Home & Crematory-Salem (1999 W Main St, Salem, WV 26426). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
