He was predeceased by: his wife Naomi Jean Romine; and his siblings, Helen Fay Armentrout, James Howard Alderman, Gerald Theaudric Alderman, Retha Alice Blagg, Evelyn Imogene Carpenter, Eugene Franklin Alderman and William Preston Alderman.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard Alderman and Philip Alderman (Annetta); his grandchildren, Abby McKee (James), Amy Alderman, Aaron Alderman (Jayne) and Andrew Alderman (Suejin); and his great grandchildren, Mari, Imri, Simon, Aliyah, Anthony, Hadley, Alexander and Levi. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
