We are sad to announce that on January 14, 2026, at the age of 80, Gary Coen of Salem, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arley O. Coen and Fanny Olive Thompson (White); his wives, Zetta, Sally and Debbie; and his stepgrandson Jesse Underwood.
He is survived by: his friend Brandi Hawley (Brad Rhoades) of Salem, WV; his brothers, Franklin Coen of St. Marys, WV and Jerry Coen (Teresa) of Winchester, WV; his close friend John Hall of Pine Grove, WV; his stepchildren, Julie Kinkade of Pine Grove, WV and Mike Dunlap (Lori Post) of Jacksonburg, WV; his stepgrandchildren, Sasha Pratt (Thomas) of Barrickville, WV and Jamie Dunlap (Leha); and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Lily, Luke, Elizabeth, Abraham, Adelynn and Annabell. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
