He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Edward and Georgia Mae Stewart Matheny; and his brothers, Danny of West Union and Eric Matheny of Center Point. He is survived by: his wife Debra "Debbie" Robinson Matheny; his children, Julie Dye (Rodney) of Doddridge County and Jacob Scott Matheny of Westover; his grandchildren, Abigail Thompson (Cody Fultineer) and Dayton Lipscomb; his great grandchildren, Brantley James Fultineer and Jaxon Edison Fultineer; and his siblings, David Matheny (Patty Lee) of Salem, Patty Davis (Mike) of Marietta, OH and Martha McConnell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and one great-great-nephew.
