He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Clay and Naoma Irene Brown Clay; his wife Margaret Clay; and his siblings, Eddie Clay and Jackie Hill.

He is survived by: his children, Tim Clay (Angie), Dave Clay (Jona) and Teresa Clay; his granddaughter Rebekah Lester; and his great grandchildren, Searya Peerman and Nicole Shade. He is also survived by extended family, and countless friends.
