He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvie Toney and Virginia Canterbury Toney; his wife Elizabeth Ann Toney; his brothers, Williams "Doc" Toney, Jesse Toney and David Toney; and his friend Estel Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Chris Toney, Lisha Beals (David), Theresa Massie (Marco Bragg), Nathan Toney, Steven and Stephanie Toney; his close friend Bettie Wriston; his grandchildren, Tiffany Paterline (Zach), Amanda Richardson, Cole Anderson, Ethan Toney, Tyler Lewis, Nick Toney, Anthony Toney, Luke Toney, Stacy Toney and Jacob Reynolds; and his siblings, Mary Catherine Wriston, Sherman "Art" Toney, Alvie "Twiddle" Toney and Ralph "Andy" Toney. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
