He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Twyman and Grace Toothman Twyman; his son Melvin Lee Schwartz; and his siblings, Don, Jim Twyman and June Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Wycoff Schwartz Twyman; his children, Mary Alice Swartz and Gary Wayne Twyman, Jr.; and his daughter-in-law Balinda Schwartz Nicholson. He is also survived by 51 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
