He was predeceased by : his parents, Louie Tate and Betty Moorehead Tate; and his uncles, John, Frank, Tony, Sam, Albert and Paul Tate.

He is survived by : his daughter Kalyn Tate (Jordan Miller); his close friends, Greg Hurd, Mike Stalnaker and Chuck Stalnaker; his cousins, Butch Tate, Gary, Susan Tate, Rocky Tate, Shirley Tate, Connie Tate, Bonnie Tate, Tony Jr., Skippy, Linda and Patty Tate; and his aunt Mary Tate.
