It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Elbon (Shinnston, West Virginia), who passed away on May 7, 2026, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Jo and Frankie Tate, Jr. of Meadowbrook, WV.. She is survived by: her husband Phillip L. Elbon; her children, Babygirl, Ashlyn Minnick (Nicholas) of Spelter, Phillip L. Elbon, II (Barbi) of Flemington and Tacy Goldsmith (Jimmy) of Maryland; her grandchildren, Katie Barker (Luke), Colt Elbon, Mia Goldsmith, Jaclyn, Carson and Remington Minnick; her great grandchild Calvin Theodore Barker; her sisters, Nancy Tate (Rod) and Bonnie Menedez; her friends, Pam Deem, Pauline Shuttlesworth, Linda Danges and Fran Issacs; her siblings, Frank "Skip" Tate and Lisa Dawn Tate; her nephews, Franke Tate and Dennis Elbon, II; her great-niece Megan Jo Tucker; and her granddaughter Aubrey. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters in law.
