He was predeceased by: his parents, Ott Phillips and Belva Phillips; his siblings, Elizabeth Cochran, Frances Fisher and Clifford Phillips; and his brothers-in-law, Dayton Fields, Junior Cochran, Roscoe Fisher and Roy Asbury.

He is survived by: his siblings, Madeline Fields, Pauline Parsons, Fairplain, Dessie Asbury, Wendell Phillips (Jeanie) of Kenna, Ronald Phillips (Nancy) of Advent and Donald Phillips (Kathy) of Liberty; his niece Diann Landers (Roy); and his nephew Varrel Phillips. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
