He was predeceased by : his parents, Curtis Rush and Sadie Chambers Rush; his grandson Nicholas Rush; and his siblings, Jewell Rush Poe, Lucille Rush Crane, Bula Rush Yost, Melvin Rush and Glenn Rush.

He is survived by : his wife Betty Ruth Ice Rush of Sistersville, WV; his sons, Don Rush (Joyce) of Sistersville, WV and Ron Rush (Teresa) of Sistersville, WV; his grandchildren, Benjamin Rush (Laura) of Marietta, OH, Rebecca Smith (Steve) of Athens, AL and Isaac Rush (Sydney Williams) of Marietta, OH; his great grandchildren, Reed Rush, Liliana and Emmett Smith; and his sister Sharon Keller (Joe) of Henderson, NV. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and his granddog, Buddy.
