With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Loretta Smith of Sistersville, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 9, 2025 at the age of 79. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Quick and Madeline E. Quick (Riffle); and her siblings, Frances Yost, Mary Anderson, Dorothy Hamilton, Gene Wade, Jack Jinkins, Alice O'Neil and Peg Quick.
She is survived by: her husband Charles "Chuck" Smith; and her children, Mary Ann Young (Roger) of New Martinsville, WV, Myron Nottingham of New Martinsville, WV, Timothy Nottingham of Middlebourne, WV, Charles Nottingham of Middlebourne, WV and Melissa Pratt (Billy) of Smithburg, WV. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Homes (309 N 4th Ave, Paden City, WV 26159). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home - Paden City (309 N 4th Ave, Paden City, WV 26159).
