It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Jean Thomas of Sistersville, West Virginia, who passed away on September 5, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Orval Waldo and Versie Marie Nicholson Kelley; her husband David "Joe" Thomas; and her siblings, Betty Casey, Peggy Judy, Virginia Pullin, Ben, Orrville, Oscar, Robert "Bob" and C. James.
She is survived by: her daughter Jennifer "Jan" Surface of Parkersburg, WV; her son-in-law Jim Surface of Sistersville; her grandchildren, Tracy Heintzman (Curtis) of Sistersville and Bryan Surface (Lauren) of Lake Mary; and her great grandchildren, Ralynn, Cade, Drayk, Ayvi Heintzman, Adeline and Jameson Surface. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
