He was predeceased by : his parents, George Wilkinson and Hattie Dalrymple Wilkinson; his daughter Rhonda Smith; his great grandchild Stephon Glen; and his siblings, Denny Wilkinson and Sue Darnell.

He is survived by : his wife Shirley Owens Wilkinson; his daughters, Carla Lancaster of Paden City, WV and Darla Ross of Sistersville, WV; and his sisters, Maxine Ankrom and Beverly Parrish. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and his cat.
