He is survived by: his wife Barbara Albers Ford; his children, Tammy Ford-Smith (William) and Jason Doyle Ford (Kimberly); his stepson Derek Lawrence Albers (Virginia); his granddaughters, Rachel Ann Hogg (Wes), Stephanie Elizabeth Ford (Mickey) and Kristen Nicole Collins (Shawn); his stepgranddaughter Dakota Georgeann Albers; his great grandchildren, Ryder, Corbin Hogg, Arianna and Sienna Collins; and his sister Blanche Hurlock.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the American Heart Association.
