Max leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Max’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Carlin and Hazel Carlin (Marola); and his daughter Tresa Gray. He is survived by: his children, John Carlin (A. D.) of Beaverfalls, PA and Cynthia Hayhurst of Beaverfalls, PA; his grandchildren, Michael Gray (Amber), Deborah Gray, Brian Hayhurst and Joshua Hayhurst; his caregiver Crystal Baker (Michael) of Smithfield, WV; and his close friend Elva Fluharty of Smithfield, WV. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Williams Funeral Home (226 State Hwy 20, Pine Grove, WV 26419).
