He was predeceased by: his wife Emma Jean McCallister; his parents, Delbert "Boo" McCallister and Mearl Kidd McCallister; his grandparents, Robert and Carry McCallister; his grandson Timothy McCallister; and his siblings, Roger McCallister, Jewel McClure, Dinah Chandler and Carol Dooley.
He is survived by: his children, Robert McCallister (Yvonne), Kimberly Kollmeyer (Richard) and Gary McCallister (Rosemary); his sisters, Kathy (Bob) and Linda Settle (Tom); his grandchildren, Bradley, Shane, Anthony, Adam, Shonna and Madison; and his great grandchildren, Mattison, Ashton, Avery, Lexy, Laylee, Nicolas and Rowan.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Curry Funeral Home (2097 Childress Rd, Alum Creek, WV 25003). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
