It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clyde Eugene Blake of Sophia, West Virginia, who passed away on June 24, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Clyde may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Blake and Irene Blake (Comer); his wife Jackie; his siblings, Brenda Ellison, Roger Blake and David Blake; his brothers-in-law, James Ellison and Philip Graham; and his son-in-law Timothy Connard.
He is survived by: his sister Loretta Graham; and his sister-in-law Sue Blake. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Melton Mortuary (1200 Harper Rd, Beckley, WV 25801). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
