It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lena Jerome Medina of Spelter, West Virginia, who passed away on July 24, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dominick Jerome and Mary Discuillo Jerome; and her siblings, Tony, Dominic, Fred, John, James Jerome, Ann Thomas and Sue Beverina.
She is survived by: her children, James Medina (Evelyn) of Shinnston and Linda Marie Derosa of Bridgeport; her grandchildren, Jessica Medina (Shane McEldowney), Angela Haught, Teresa Harkins, James Medina II (Lyndsey), Michael Derosa (Jaimie) and Marcus Derosa; her great grandchildren, Ana Haught, Ali Haught, Brogan Medina, Sophee Medina, Logan Harkins, Katie Derosa, Dominick Derosa and Maggie Grace McEldowney; and her sister Angie Smith of Wilsonburg. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home (201 Edison St, Nutter Fort, WV 26301). A prayer was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church (8092 Third St, Stonewood, WV 26301). A burial was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home (201 Edison St, Nutter Fort, WV 26301).
