He is survived by: his mother Deloris Larch Cottrell of Spencer; his wife Diane Linger Cottrell of Spencer; his children, Shannon Miller (Joe) of Mount Zion and Douglas Wayne Cottrell, Jr. (Ella) of Looneyville; his grandsons, Connor, Mason, Jase and Easton Cottrell; his siblings, Sue Simons of Spencer, Kathy Cottrell of Spencer and Mike Cottrell of Spencer; and his uncle Kenny Blackshire.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home (406 Market St, Spencer, WV 25276). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
