With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Monte Whiting of Spencer, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 25, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Lee and Lillie Belle Webb Whiting; his grandson Cody Duane Whiting; and his brother Loren Whiting. He is survived by: his former wife Dorothy Whiting; his children, Duane Whiting (Julia) of Reedy, Brett Whiting (Sarah) of Belpre, OH and Christel Evans (Robin Whiting) of Zanesville, OH; his grandchildren, Dylan Whiting (Sabrina Haught) of Spencer and Devon Whiting of Spencer; his siblings, Jack Whiting of Spencer and Lavita Atkinson (Ray) of Spencer; his sister-in-law Marsha Whiting; his grandchildren, Sam Whiting (Summer Nichols Black), Jake Whiting (Marina), Colby Whiting, Chelsea Richardson (Austin), Brooke Eckels (John), Dalton Evans and Atlas Smith Haught; and his great grandchildren, Lacey Whiting, Aubrey Whiting, Jordynn Whiting, Westynn Whiting, Lennon Whiting, Jagger Whiting and Barrett Richardson.
