He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Henry Nicholson and Clare Isabel Nicholson (Eisele); and his brother Richard Nicholson. He is survived by: his wife Janis L. Nicholson of Springfield; his sons, Mark (Emily) of Star Tannery, VA, Michael of Springfield, Joseph (Crystal) of Springfield and Ray of New Mexico; his grandchildren, Lillian, Sidney, Nora and Bradley; and his siblings, Donald (Lynn), Charles (Martha) and Patricia Rose (Gary).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Shaffer Funeral Home (230 E Main St, Romney, WV 26757). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (49 N High St, Romney, WV 26757).
