He is survived by: his sons, James L. Flint Jr. of Manassas, Ralph A. Flint of Hurricane, WV, Douglas R. Flint of Oak Hill, WV, Charles A. Flint (Kristi) of Mount Hope, WV and Michael J. Flint (Traci) of Oak Hill, WV; and his stepson Mike Pomeroy (Kim) of Beckley, WV. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
