In loving memory of Ruth Fortner of Stollings, West Virginia, who departed this world on June 11, 2025 at the age of 104. Ruth leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John McCoy and Maude McCoy; her husband Millard Guy Fortner; and her siblings, Margarette Drake, Olive Lucas and Harry McCoy.
She is survived by: her children, Michel (Connie) and Judy Bibbee of Charleston; her grandchildren, Keith Tomblin (Denise), Thaddeus Fortner (Niki), Andrew Fortner, Michelle Dodd (Daniel), Melinda Bibbee and Jason Bibbee; her great grandchildren, Dominic, Ashton, Channing, Sebastian, Shepard and Charlette; and her great great grandchild Laramie.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Highland Memory Gardens (42 Highland Memory Ln, Chapmanville, WV 25547).
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in her honor be made to Stollings Christian Church, P.O. Box 402, Stollings, WV 25646.
