He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Pinion Wiant; his children, Jennifer Morris of Morgantown, Shannon Wiant (Missy) of Shinnston and John Christopher Wiant (Paubla) of Virginia; his grandchildren, Brandon Elliott, Caleb Strakle and Madeline Shaffer; and his siblings, Terry Wiant (Helen), Eva Shriver (Steve), Cindy Clark, Penny Lipscomb (Greg) and Mia Shriver (Tim).
