He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Rose Shields; and his brother Richard "Skeeter" Shields. He is survived by: his sons, Curtis Shields (Sherry Sigley) of Rivesville, Michael Shields of Clarksburg and Dylan Shields of Kodiak, TN; and his sister Stephaney Williams of Fairmont. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
