He is survived by: his siblings, Joan Gerber of Alum Creek, WV and Bob Matthews (Nancy) of Sod, WV.; his significant other Brenda; his daughter Chastidy Hoover (Rod) of Sumerco, WV; his grandsons, Kerry Matthews III, Eli Runyon-Hoover, Gage Matthews, Kyle Matthews, Klayton Matthews and Gabriel Lovejoy; and his great grandchild Holden Matthews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Viewing will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 1:00 PM.
