He is survived by: his wife Donna Jean Hanshaw; his son William James "Bill" Hanshaw (Pam) of Charleston; and his grandchildren, John Johnson (Brandi), Chase Hanshaw and Madison Hanshaw. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
