He was predeceased by: his parents, John Paul Claude Horton and Jaqueline Slaughter; his wife Anna Ruth Horton; and his siblings, Claude Jr., Harvey, Frank, David, Dean, Doris, Dianna and Loretta.
He is survived by: his daughters, Dorinda and Rosario Horton; and his brother Arthur Thomas Horton. He is also survived by five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, cousins, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Phillips Missionary Baptist Church (1 Dream St, Logan, WV 25601). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
