He is survived by: his wife Monzella Shaffer Raines; his children, Ray Raines of Charleston and Marcia Raines Clark of Elkins; and his sisters, Phyllis Raines of Charleston and Barbara Smith (Jim) of Milton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
