She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel L. Swartzentruber and Dora S. Swartzentruber (Lichty); her husband Edward Moon; her siblings, Herman Swartzentruber, Betty Beeghly and Louella Miller; her son-in-law Sean McGoldrick; and her niece Hazel Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Danny Moon (Debbie) of Oakland, Sam Moon (Julie) of Bayard and Cathy McGoldrick of Red House; her grandchildren, Kristofer Moon (Sam), Kyle Moon (Haley), Dylan Moon, Seamus McGoldrick, Sadie Collins (Edward), Samantha Moon, Seanan McGoldrick and Destin Moon; and her stepgrandchildren, Austin Shrout and Meredith Skeweris (Travis). She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Gortner Union Church (4391 Mason School Rd, Oakland, MD 21550).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Southern Garrett County Rescue Squad.
