He was predeceased by: his parents, Darl Z. Friend and Ethel M. Kirk Temple; and his brother Roger Friend. He is survived by: his wife Florence Reckart Friend; his son Ronald (Janet); his friends, Lisa, Wayne Fike of Kannapolis, NC, Angie and Bryan Pressnell of Mt. Olive, AL; his stepbrother Wayne (Melissa Soult); and his half-brother Matthew. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two sisters.
