He was predeceased by: his mother Loretta Sue Varney of Thacker, WV.; his grandparents, Willie, Vernie Dotson and Rice Varney; his aunt Willeana Blankenship (Margaret Dotson); his uncles, Blake Bentley and Harold Coleman; his cousins, Randy Lee Mahon and Bobby Bentley; and his close friend Harry Bowman.
He is survived by: his father Randal Varney; his son Riley Andrew Varney of Ransom, KY; his siblings, Daniel Varney (Celia) of Thacker, WV, Jeremy Varney of Thacker, WV, Joshua Varney of Thacker, WV, Jonathan of Thacker, WV and Kristy Ratliff (Joshua) of Robinson Creek, KY.; his grandmother Glenna Varney of Delbarton, WV.; his pets, Bella and Lucy; his aunts and uncles, Phyllis, Jimmy Anderson, Cora Bentley, Shelbie Jean Dotson, Kathy Coleman, Teresa Stratton, Donald, Gail Gails, Wanda Ross, Michelle Varney and Willie Lee Dotson; and his nieces, Kylee and Aubree Ratliff. He is also survived by cousins, extended family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Bible Way Church. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Sunday, December 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 at the Harris Cemetery.
