He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Gail Williams Shelton; his parents, James Hubert and Elsie Marietta Scott Shelton; and his brother-in-law Rev. Duane Priddy. He is survived by: his children, James Robert Shelton (Jennifer Lee) of Dawes and Robin Hoblitzell of Marmet; his sisters, Peggy (James Nations) of Raymond, MS and Patricia Priddy of Chesapeake; his grandchildren, Kandis Hastings, Seth Hoblitzell, Hannah Hoblitzell, Erin Shelton and Eric Drenner (Lora); and his nephew Ben Priddy. He is also survived by six great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.
