She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Waldo Phillips and Betty Ruth Phillips (Pride); her siblings, Tyrone Phillips, Benjamin "Ralph" Phillips and Carrie Phillips; her stepmother Esther Phillips (Bolyard); and her stepbrothers, Edward Bolyard and Norman Austin.

She is survived by: her sons, Kenneth "Kenny" Shahan of Evansville, David Michael Shahan (Ruby Williams) and Thomas Glenn "Tommy" Shahan (Donna) of Laurel Mountain; her grandchildren, Cody Shahan (Thomasine), Chaelyn Shahan, Michael Ray Shahan (Jenni), TJ Shahan (Lacey Tichnell), Carrie Boyles (Robby) and Dixie Pyles (Jeremy); her great grandchildren, Macy, Colton, Peyton, Chloe, Payslee, Connor and Hadley; her stepgrandson Bobby Tenney (Sarah); her stepgreat-grandchildren, Dominic Tenney, Paige Tenney (Caleb Barcus), Cole Tenney, Lincoln Tenney, Devon Shaffer (Courtney), Waylon Henderson, Gavin Howdershelt, Mason and Malia; her siblings, Norma Shay of Ohio, Donald Phillips (Patty) of Belington, Ronald Phillips (Nina) of Marquess and Camden Phillips (Peggy) of Thornton; her stepbrother Evert Austin of Youngsville, NC; and her sister-in-law Patricia "Pat" Phillips. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, September 7th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Target Church (475 Meadow View Ln, Thornton, WV 26440). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
