He was predeceased by: his parents, George Ray and Ora May Simons (Curry); his wife Harriet "Ilene" Simons; and his siblings, Oleta Rowan, Annette Sisler, Helen Zienbiec, Ray Simons, Donald Simons, Russell Simons, Glen Simons, Leon Simons and Wanda Howdershelt. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
