He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Francis and Violet Virginia Funk (Nestor); his former wife Phyllis Eileen Funk (Messenger); his wife Lovetta May Bowmar Funk (Weaver); his stepdaughter Brenda Smith; his great grandchild Ethan; his sons-in-law, James Rudder and John Ringer; his stepson-in-law Mark Johnson; his brothers, Kenneth Ralph Funk, Willard Francis Funk, Ronald Funk and Allen "Al" Ray Funk; and his sister-in-law Helen Funk.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Ringer of Oakland, MD, Terry Moore, Diana Haskiell (Tim), Robin Rudder and Donald Funk Jr. (Terri); his stepchildren, Debra Harker, Stephen of Apollo, PA, Barbara Johnson, Roger Bowmar and Susie; his siblings, Elwood G. Funk (Doris) of Macedonia, OH, Darwin Funk, Larry Funk (Lori), Gary Funk (Jeaninne), Sharon Matlick of Tunnelton and Sue Holt of Tunnelton; and his sisters-in-law, Carolyn Ann Funk and Sandra Kay Funk. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; six great grandchildren; twenty-one step great grandchildren; two step great-great grandchildren.
