He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Oscar and Levada Owens (Bolyard); his wife Barbara Ann Owens; his daughter-in-law Sandra Owens; and his siblings, Blondell Owens, Jean Owens, Marquerite Shaver, Mary Jane Bolyard, Shirley Harris, Calvin Owens, Glenn Owens, Fred Owens, Daniel Owens and Naomi Pifer.
He is survived by: his children, Rita (Danny Maxwell), Donna (Carl McNear), Kenneth Owens, Cheryl (Herbert Hawkins), Jimmy Owens, Marlene (Brian Travis) and Dean (Darinda Owens); his siblings, Tom Owens, Irma, Thornton and Randy Owens; and his pet Annie Belle. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
