She was predeceased by : her parents, Roy Melvin and Bertie Elizabeth Frazier Brooks; her husband Marvin Robert Zimmerman III; and her brothers, Roy Melvin Brooks Jr. and Robert William Brooks.

She is survived by : her son Marvin Robert Zimmerman IV of Cortland, NY; and her siblings, Ralph Edward Brooks of Bluefield, WV, Rodney Glenn Brooks (Anna) of Ronceverte, WV, Russell Wayne Brooks (Lisa) of Lewisburg, WV, Richard Franklin Brooks of Fort Springs, WV, Randall Dale Brooks (Karen) of Peterstown, WV, Eva Joyce Waid (Rusty) of Alderson, WV, Ruth Anna Lephew of Sinks Grove, WV, Robin Elizabeth Swiger (John) of Fort Springs, WV and Rhonda Gail McFall (Lowell) of Alderson, WV. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other extended family members, and friends.
