He is survived by: his children, James Ray "Jimmy" Vandevender (Shaina) of Monterville, Lora Beth Vandevender of Monterville and Amy Jo Vandevender of Valley Head; his siblings, Richard Lee Vandevender (Doris) of Hillsboro, Dorothy Jean Bennett of Craigsville, Frances Peters of Cleveland, OH, Rosalee Gail Noel of Cleveland, OH, Linda Kay Bennett (Steve) of Moatsville and Susan Louise Vandevender of Monterville; his grandchildren, Brittany Gibson of Monterville, Victoria Vandevender, Alex Vandevender of Monterville and Chelsy Hinkle of Beckley; his great grandchildren, Asher Stancil, Carter Dilley, Maverick Hinkle and Maddox Hinkle; and his brother-in-law Richard Jordan of Marlinton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home - Elkins (120 1st St, Elkins, WV 26241). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
