Fred W. Carpenter Obituary
With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Fred W. Carpenter of Vienna, West Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Fred left this world on May 31, 2025 at the age of 99, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Minta "Mick" Carpenter and Catherine Carpenter (Murphy); his wife Irene Carpenter (Ellis); and his siblings, Oliver Carpenter and Louise Shannon.
He is survived by: his children, Fred W. Carpenter II (Karen) of Monrovia, MD and Karen Skeen (Rick) of Vienna; and his grandchildren, Maggie Szutz (Chris), Sarah Parsons (Zach), Tracy Brownfield (Chris), Holly Yoke (Nathan) and Kelly Skeen. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Leavitt Funeral Services and Crematory - Parkersburg (403 7th St, Parkersburg, WV 26101). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
