He was predeceased by : his parents, Herbert Hayhurst and Erless Gherke Hayhurst; his former life partner Dorothy; and his siblings, Junell, Carolyn and Ernest.

He is survived by : his wife Raenetta A. Hayhurst; his stepsons, Craig (Sheri) and Alan; his grandchildren, Rick (Maggie), Hanna, Wyatt and Waylon; his great grandchildren, Evelyn, Phaedra and Thalia; and his brother Kyle.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home (3005 Grand Central Ave, Vienna, WV 26105). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
